Hey guys! What’s up and welcome back to Hear and Now Podcast! It’s Sophia and ya’ll probably excepted me to start talking about 15 seconds ago, but guess what? It’s Podcastmas and that means all month long I am going to be posting podcast episodes celebrating Christmas. So this is the sixth episode of podcastmas and I hope you guys enjoyed the little Christmas music in the beginning of it!
It’s literally my favorite time of year and I am super excited to be doing this! I’ve seen youtubers doing vlogmas and bloggers doing blogmas, so what about podcasters? I am doing podcastmas. I don’t know if that’s original or not, but I don’t care! Happy Podcastmas. I have 7 fun filled episodes all planned and ready to go. They’ll just be 5-10 minutes long so you can get in the holiday spirit all month!
I’m still gonna tell you to check out all my socials down below but each episode is only going to be dedicated to podcastmas! Even though I’m still producing content this month, I still feel like I’m giving myself rest by just doing super chill episodes. Then come the new year I am going to be back into the game and have a ton of new content!
This is the sixth episode of Podcastmas and about what Christmas means to me. I don’t really know how this episode is going to go. But, let’s just jump right in.
Christmas to me means the hope of the season. I just feel this happiness in the air during this time. People are much more friendly, even though they might be fighting over the last gift in the store, but still. I love to wish people happy holidays or merry christmas as I walk around. The salvation army outside the mall and along the city streets. Just seeing Santa in the mall is so fun. I’ve said this before, I’m such a kid at heart. I love seeing the decorations and just all that fun stuff.
Christmas is also the birth of Jesus, the time when hope was restored to the world. There is a peace in the season of Advent, the season of waiting. There’s a love, a wanting to be around people and celebrate with them.
Its the smell of the cookies baking and the hot chocolate brewing. The air just has a crisp scent that when you breathe it in you just know its December. I am a big fan of my sense of smell. Thats so weird to say, I know, but we use essential oils in my house (if you want to check them out theres a link in the show notes) but smell is one of the most powerful senses you have. When you are deficient in one sense, your others are heightened, which makes sense for me. But seriously, the smell of the pine, the garland, the hot chocolate, the cookies, ahh I just love it so much.
But more than anything, Jesus is the reason for the season. Without Him, none of this would have been possible. Christmas
I just love Christmas so much and it’s truly the most wonderful time of the year.
So that was it for this episode of podcastmas, I will see you in the next one!
It’s December, and that means it’s time for PODCASTMAS!! This is the sixth episode and I can’t wait for you guys to join me all month long as I do podcastmas.
