[00:00:00] Hey guys, what’s up. Welcome back to another episode of Hear and Now podcast. I am so excited to welcome back Jayme, onto the show. Thanks for coming on today. Hi, thank you so much for having me. I’m really excited. I’m so happy to be back with you. our last episode was from way back in August, we did Vogue 73 questions together, which was a super fun.
so you should definitely check out that episode, which will be in the show notes down below. Yeah. But for today’s episode, we asked you guys on our Instagrams to shoot us questions. You want us to give you advice on. And we got a lot. I think we got pretty, pretty good questions. I’m so excited to answer them.
I hadn’t kind of just have a great chat for you guys and with you guys. so without further ado, let’s just jump right in the first one. Which one do you want to start with? I don’t even know where to start. I’m honestly fine with anything if you want. We could do maybe like the motivation one because yeah.
Let’s let’s do it full swing of school and everything. I know. What tips do you [00:01:00] have for staying motivated? Whether it’s like in person or in a remote setting. So we actually can speak from both, right? Cause I do online and your in person in school. So why don’t you go from the end person perspective?
Yeah, so, I will say I was in person for a week and then we went online and yesterday was our first day back in person actually. But I definitely struggled when it was online, because I was like, you can, my zoom classes in bed and things like that. but yesterday I was like, I woke up early, like had a cup of coffee.
It’s just like knowing that you have somewhere to be makes it a lot easier. and so I think that’s what I use as like my motivation or like, I don’t really, I try not to do my homework in my room. I try to like go to the library or the student center, or like even doing it with friends in my room. It’s fine.
but just like trying to change my area, I think helps a lot and then obviously to do list, but I think no, so true. and I was gonna say same thing for [00:02:00] online. since this is my sec, second technical semester, I guess, doing online, even pre COVID, it’s just changing your environment a lot. It really, really helps.
And after a while you start to get really bored of looking at the same thing. So I find like kind of switching out positions and pro tip, we just found yoga balls on Amazon. And that’s the chair that I work in. Like I literally stood on a yoga ball just because it’s easier for me to think. Like I don’t get comfy in my chair and kind of like constantly bouncing and like, but yeah, no labors that was like probably the best investment for the school year that we could do.
but they’re huge. They are like, Like they’re massive balls, but that’s a good idea. They’re so much fun to use. And it just makes like doing school a little bit more enjoyable. Right. So definitely. Yeah. Like you said, writing it to do lists and making priority, like kind of organizing them that way.
Okay, here’s a question. Do you start with the hardest things first or the easiest [00:03:00] things first, when you do score, it really depends on what kind of mood I’m in a lot of times, if it’s the weekend and I’m like wanting to hang out with my friends, I’ll do like the easy things first. So I won’t have to worry about that.
Like, I’ll get these done, go hang out. And then like, I can have time to focus. but a lot of times on the weekdays, I like try to get the harder stuff out of the way. So. I can use as much time as I need to, and then make a plan for the rest of my day. Yeah. But yeah, kind of just like, if I’m lazy, I’ll do the, but if I’m feeling motivated, I go for the hard stuff.
No, absolutely. It’s again, it really depends on the day. but there’s like, I have like my philosophy class. I’m like, I got to get this out of the way. It’s so hard. I just rather get it done. And then for statistics, like I can fly through that. So, it’s just, it depends. So start with the things that like, you’re excited about.
And then like kind of, you know, just doing kind of doing every other, like this hard thing done, I’ll be able to like [00:04:00] do homework for my fashion class or like the things that I’m actually enjoying and I will use in the future. So I think that too, like, Kind of going every other, if you hate something, do that first and then something you like, and then the opposite.
No, that’s so true. And like reward systems are great. Like if you say, okay, if I read like the 50 pages of my textbook, that I can, you know, go have a chocolate bar or something like that, And rewarding yourself. Like it’s just so motivating no matter what. So to answer the question, those are the tips for staying motivated.
anything else you want to add before we jump to the next one? Oh, I think that’s good. Okay. Perfect with that. okay. So yeah, I got a bunch of questions about staying motivated to, let’s go off of that time management. What are your biggest tips for time management? Yeah. So I made my class schedule this year so that I have classes on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and they’re over by 11:00 AM.
So I really like doing that because then I’m like getting up [00:05:00] early. So I’m more motivated for the day. And then I have like, after 11 o’clock. Yeah. I literally have nothing. The rest of the, yeah. So I’m like, okay, I will, I have all this time to do homework content, you know, whatever I need to get done. And then by the time my friends are done with class.
My homework and all that stuff is done. Yeah. Definitely like, look at your schedule and like how you can change it. Like, I don’t, unless you are a person that enjoys learning at night, but like I have one night class this semester and I stand all day. So. I would recommend taking morning classes because that really helps me time manage.
And then also just like planning things out the right way. Yeah. Yeah. I don’t really love planning things back to back. Like I like to space it out a little bit, like breathe. and that helps me like get more stuff done. I think. So like thinking like, okay, don’t schedule yourself so that you’re not done until 8:00 PM.
And then you’re cause you have so much to do when you’re talking. [00:06:00] No, it’s so true. That happened to me last night. I was like, why do I keep procrastinating on this? So this is just a real life of college right now. It’s just like, what are we doing with ourselves? but from a more like, Business perspective.
I liked kind of having my meetings back to back so that I can kind of just knock them out in like one section of the day. and I talk about, yeah, it’s a lot. And like past episodes is block scheduling, and how you can kind of organize yourself and your day into chunks. So the morning block is from, I don’t know, eight to 11.
And for you, like that’s when all of your classes would be, and then like from your afternoon chunk could be like, you know, all of your homework and everything, which is like super effective. So you’re not scheduling your day, hour by hour. and so there’s going to be tons of resources out there from people.
but that’s just what I found like works for me. But are you like an hour to hour, minute by minute scheduler? Or do you kind of just go with the flow? I don’t like going with the flow, obviously. Like my classes are kind of [00:07:00] blocked out. but I’m also like if someone were to ask me at 1:00 PM to go do something, I would, yeah.
No. Yeah. I’m not like this has to get done right at this time. So I never think too, just like being in college, everything is a lot more lenient, like, Oh yeah. Content side of things. I’m definitely like this needs to get done at this time. Like absolutely because you have to go by like, when the sun’s out, like if I need to go outside and take a photo, the lighting’s good and everything like that.
So that does have to be on like a time schedule, I’ll work and like friends, it’s kind of just like. Well, if I hang out with you at one, then I have to do my homework tonight rather than vice versa. No. Yeah. I think it’s so true. And again, it’s like priorities and right now it’s like, I want to see my friends instead of doing my stat homework, which is perfect.
no, so that’s so good and definitely a great, yeah, I’m the same way with content. I like all of my podcast episodes have to go out. you know, Monday night into Tuesday morning and that way they’re [00:08:00] ready for everybody in the morning. So that’s really good. yeah, so those are top tips from college students on how to stay motivated and time manage and all that stuff.
Okay. Number three, what do you have for that one? Since we were kind of talking about content a little bit. We should do tips for balancing work slash brand collabs and school. Ooh, that’s a good one. Yeah. I don’t know. What are your top tips? We’ll start with you. So I said earlier that my classes are Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
So I kind of like to make those like my school days and then Tuesday and Wednesday, I focus a little bit more on content, obviously like your content when you’re an influencer, it’s hard because it doesn’t really end. It’s like you don’t have. Like a work day where you work nine to five. So like, if I don’t have a lot of homework on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday, then like I’ll add some content in there or like admin stuff.
but Tuesdays and Thursdays is like my day, like. A lot of [00:09:00] photos or videos take time to anything like that, because I’ll know like, okay, I have time to get ready in the morning. I have time to like kind of move stuff around in my room if I need to. So that is kind of more of like a, I have to be home to do it.
Whereas if I’m like at the library, I can kind of switch back and forth between like an admin task for work and then homework. Right? No. Agreed. And it’s really about like the systems that you have in place to, like for me, not only do I do content creation, do you know, like an actual business, helping other people with their content creation?
so for me, if I’m out and about, then I can schedule tasks on my phone and like send emails to people and send emails to brands when I’m on the go. And just having like something that’s kind of like a workflow. So like I have a system where if I see a brand Doug, Oh, I want to reach out to Sam, let me pull up my email template and then just send that to them.
that way it’s not like. Something, I have to think about 24 seven and it can just kind of be automated. same thing with [00:10:00] scheduling people. I have a system that schedules for me, so that way I don’t have to think about, you know, creating a zoom link and a calendar link and all that stuff it’s just done for me.
So in terms of like bouncing brands and stuff, when you’re in college, Sometimes the brands look for the, like the real raw knowledge content anyway. so if you’re like, Ooh, like I need to incorporate skincare into my routine. Somehow. It’s just things that we do naturally. and so finding those brands that are gonna work with you in things that you already do in your everyday life is going to make the content just flow a little bit easier.
At least that’s how I’ve seen it in the past, you know, year that I’ve been doing this. like our, our one company that we both work with luminance, that is just, I use KinCare every day. And so it just became natural and part of my routine that I get to use it and especially like clothing companies, like, you know, gotta wear clothes somehow.
Yeah. Like if I have to like brand collab with a clothing brand or something like that, I’m like, Oh, I’ll just [00:11:00] wear this outfit today. Like exactly when I’m out and about, if I find a cute spot, I’ll take the photo, you know, necessarily like. Oh, my gosh. You’d have to get completely ready and bring my ring light and get a huge camera and everything like that.
Like I take my photos on my phone sometimes. Like my boyfriend is the one that takes them. Like I want it. So like literally the other day we were like, we had to go run errands. And so I just needed it in my phone. And I was like, we take a photo of me, like, and then that’s content right there. So it’s like, It’s hard.
Yeah. Like being a content creator, I think a lot more goes into it than people think. But at the same time, if you are in the mindset of an influencer or creator, you kind of incorporate it into things that you’re already doing. So he doesn’t have to be insanely. Should he Jack or anything? And like I said, it just kind of incorporates into your daily routine.
so again, that’s kind of just how I’ve seen it work for me. And I’m sure you you’re on the same vibe as I am, but yeah. Finding those [00:12:00] people that are gonna help you and understand your, your flow is a little bit better than doing it by yourself. So 100% agree. Let’s see if I have any questions related to that.
Oh, how did build your blog audience? That’s going to be the next one. So, This is a question we get, I get asked a lot. I’m sure you do the same.
Yes. The feeling’s mutual, is that there are so many ways to build your audience and every day right now, The algorithms are changing. Like, did you hear the Instagram right now? The likes aren’t even as important to save. Yeah. So just the new Instagram algorithm, I’ve literally lost like a hundred likes per photo.
Exactly. Like my photos are not getting as many views as they used to. Yeah. And so. You kind of just have to stay up to date with everything that’s going on, but there’s no like one proven way to build your audience anymore. And so it’s really just about getting visible in front of people. and so little [00:13:00] promo, I have a freebie on how to grow your Instagram audience, which I will link down below.
But honestly, for me, it’s getting in Facebook groups, finding the people that. Are thinking similar to you have content similar to you. Not necessarily doing follow trains, but if somebody says, Hey, what’s your Instagram, like, I love to connect. And then you’ve got all these people that like have the same content as you.
that’s just one way hashtags are insanely good. But again, with the algorithm, we always have to be paying attention to what they want us to do. So not necessarily like the photo, but save the photo. I think I do that more. Then liking things. Like, I guess I think it’s easier for me to support other bloggers because I like kind of know what I would want from a photo.
So when I’m like, Oh, I need to save that because bloggers don’t like, it’s harder to get saved. Yeah. Yeah. It doesn’t make sense to me because it’s actually easier to hit the same button that is so true. Like you have to double tap. [00:14:00] That is so true. Yeah. Agreed. Yeah, but I completely agree with that. You and I met in a Facebook group and I’ve got, we’ve gotten so much out of it from just exactly.
We literally messaged each other. And so I think I like, if there’s any one tip that I can say is like, don’t be afraid to reach out to someone that has something similar as you, because I’ve made so many internet friends just by saying like, Hey, I love your shirt. Where’d you get it? Or like, I have any tips on like how to get as many likes as you just did, or yeah.
Getting people engaged, like it’s way easier to just ask then sitting back and being confused and getting angry with yourself. Exactly. No, exactly. And it’s all about like the power of networking. and so you never know, like if you reached out to a brand, that’s like, Hey, like I love your content and you know, Feature them in your pages.
And if they repost you, that’s exposure for you as well. So there’s so, so, so many ways to do [00:15:00] it. and again, there’s no one way I love networking. I like, you know, you started to like, that’s how we met. and there’s so many ways to do it this day is these day and ages. But, yeah, no, I think, I think it’s not as hard as it seems if you’re willing to put the work into doing it.
Yeah. Yeah. And I think too, a lot of times, like, I’ll be with my friends and there’ll be like, are you doing on your phone? And I’m like, Oh, I’m working. And they’re like scrolling through Instagram. I’m like, I know. But like if I don’t engage with other people, people aren’t going to engage with me. So in the end is benefiting my job, but I’m also enjoying it.
Like I’m just commenting on people’s posts. I’m liking messaging. That’s really the background of things that I don’t think a lot of people realized is important. Oh yeah, exactly. Like it’s mutual engagement that we love to see and we love to do. but of course it has to start from somewhere. Sometimes we have to be the ones to initiate it.
so yeah, again, there are so many ways to kind of build your audience. But you have to find the one [00:16:00] that is going to make you happy while you’re doing it and not just make it seem like a boring, old job. You know what I mean? It’s supposed to be fun and that’s why we love.
Yeah. Okay. So I think we answered that one pretty well. what do you have for the next one? while we just said that we love it. So how do you find things you’re passionate about? That’s a very good question. all right. Let’s start off with you. What do you got? Okay. so I guess like, if I’m thinking about it a lot, I know that that’s something that I should pursue.
Like if I just like, think about it one day and then like, forget it about it. Obviously it’s not something that I want to take seriously. but if it’s something that’s always in my head, I’m like, okay, like, we’re going to do this like recently, like I’ve wanted to start like kind of not transitioning over because I want to continue brand deals, but I want to like, kind of create a product that is in wear [00:17:00] or use and things like that.
And the, I never pictured myself doing that, but when I saw other people doing it, I was like, that’s really cool. Like I’m going to look into it. And then as I kept digging deeper and deeper, I kept getting more excited about it. And so I think just like scratching the surface of a ton of different things and then whatever ones you stick with, that’s probably what you’re passionate about.
No, absolutely. And I always say, like, I think my Instagram bio says it like, I’m a multi passionate, creative, so I do, I do a lot of things, but it’s just because I love all of them. And like you said, I found the things that I’m the most passionate about just by trying. and so, you know, I thought that like a podcast was going to be something small and was never going to take off.
And again, here I am a year later. Yeah. We’re still talking about it. And, you know, same thing with blogging and content. Those are all the things that I love. and with my college major, like that was never anything I thought that I was going to be doing, but just because like I saw something and I pursued it and [00:18:00] I looked into it more and more, I was like, wow, like this is something I actually really love.
And so. Honestly for me, it’s just try everything and see what sticks
And they, after the first day, like, don’t go back to that club meeting or don’t try that again tomorrow, but if you are obsessed with it on the first day, you probably love it and don’t try to hide it. No, exactly. It’s so true. So I think it’s. You know, finding your passion is kind of, it seems to be a cliche topic for a lot of equal.
and there’s no one right way to do it, but again, just try everything and see what sticks and find what you love to do, honestly. Yeah. Okay. Let’s see what we have next. Hmm. All right. So for some it’s like the more deeper topics, how do you let think, let go of things that you can’t control. I struggle with this one.
I will, I am not good at it. I am a very like. [00:19:00] I’m an angry crier prior, but if somebody’s angry, I will like cry. And so honestly, like every time I get like really upset about something, I’m I call my mom, which is like, so like I’m an adult. I don’t live at home, but like talk to a parent or an adult say like, Okay.
So like, what do you want to do about it? And then I’ll tell her and she’ll be like, but is that going to fix it? And I’m like, no. And then she’s like, so why are you even going to do it? Or why, why are you so upset about it if you can’t, if there’s no solution to the problem. And I think so, just like having someone sit in front of you and reminding you like, Hey, yeah, it’s not your problem.
You can’t really fix it. You just that’s how life is. That’s like the biggest thing and accepting people for who they are. Like, you can’t really get frustrated with someone if that’s just who they are. So you roll with it. And that’s something that like every day I’m trying to deal with. No, yeah.
Everything. You just have to put it [00:20:00] into perspective. and if you. I guess if you already acknowledged that as something you can control, then sometimes it just makes it a little bit easier to solve the problem. Like, Hey, like, okay, the weather weather’s this way today. I can’t control that. So let’s just make the best of it and find something else that you can do instead.
you know, if it ruins your plans for a photo shoot, go have a photo shoot in the rain, like do something else that’s going to, it might not be what you expected it to me, but sometimes it turns out to be better than you thought. And anyway, But you’re so right. Talking to a parent and sometimes it helps a lot.
So me, when you’re even when you’re 20 and 19 years old, it’s just like, yeah, I got, I got to ask my mom for advice today. We do that all the time. Even when I, you know, I live at home too, so that’s good. And that’s definitely such a good piece of ice, even if you’re 40 years old, go talk to your mom. Setting with like five of my friends.
And we were like talking about a situation. We were all kind of freaking out about it. And I was like, okay, everybody stopped, [00:21:00] everybody calmed down. And they were like, what? And I was like, I’m going to call my mom. I was like, no, I’m not kidding you. I’m going to comment on and we’re going to figure this out.
Yeah. Really does help. No, it’s so true. So true. I think I have a friend who lives in Texas and she’s like, what does your mom think about it? I was like, why are you asking me what my mom thinks about it? She’s like, cause I respect her opinion. She’s so smart. I was like, yeah. Okay. You’re right. But that’s funny.
No, but it’s so true. They have so much. Wisdom. It’s like, that’s why they’re our parents, you know, longer, they’ve experienced more already gone through what you’re going through right now. It’s so true. It’s so true. No. So that’s such a good piece of advice. so let’s see. All right. What do you have for the next one?
Okay. how to stay cute on a budget. Boom. Okay. That’s your department. So what do you have for that? I definitely think like, so my thing right now that I’m really into is looking up like one item on Pinterest and like looking at how other people’s style it. [00:22:00] So I’ll be like, I’ll look up like mom jeans outfit, and then there’s like a thousand different ways that you can just style that one pair of pants or like, White tee shirt outfit.
so like, if you have like four basic things that you’re obsessed with, you can have a different outfit every day using one of those pieces. So I think like a lot of people are like, I can’t wear that again. I’m like why? Yeah. Why not? Second hand shopping is like, Thing ever third grade stores, or even like, thrifting accounts on Instagram.
Like I love those cause you find hidden gems. That’s so true. So it’s so true. So what are your favorite like thrift shops that you shop at? Serene offerings is overreact. She is actually my big and my sorority and she it’s literally so amazing. Like I’m not just saying it because she’s my bag. she has like the cutest stuff and her like big numbers are so small.
so it’s like really affordable. And then, there’s only. Well, I just heard that there’s a salvation army here in my college time, which I didn’t [00:23:00] know, but I’ve been going to Goodwill here and I just, the other day I got like three sweaters for $10, so wow. Literally crazy. So yeah, they do have some good stuff hidden there sometimes.
no, that’s too true. That’s this is definitely not my department. I try to look up cute and fashionable, but target is like my go to it’s probably not. The best, but, honestly, like you said, having the same pairs of clothes that you rotate through and just kind of change up the way that they look, it’s honestly the best, you know what I mean?
And like, I have a hair scarf that I, you know, used as a belt one day. I’m like, I thought that it was so cute. and so just kind of changing it up and just. Yeah. Using inspiration from Pinterest is yeah. Or even like, if you’re just scrolling on Instagram one day and you’re not purposely looking for an outfit, but you see something cute, like OSS, go look at those.
Like, no, yeah. I’d have to just like, sit on Pinterest for like an hour a day. Maybe like outfit it’s like not [00:24:00] looking or like, if you see someone on campus, like just like kind of remember what they’re wearing and then try to yeah. Your closet that matches that. No, exactly. That’s always the biggest struggle was like, I want that piece, but either there’s probably, that was some things that you had there similar that could make it and you make it your own twist it.
So it doesn’t have to be a copy off of their outfit. Yeah. So that’s good. DM Jamie for fashion advice. Cause that’s not my, that’s not my ML over here. I’m more time management and all that stuff. okay. So let’s see what else I have. Oh, how do you deal with feeling overwhelmed? Hmm. Oh, another one I struggle with.
Yes. Yes. I will like have my moment of like, I’m going to be overwhelmed. I’m going to lay on the floor. I might cry a little bit, but then after that’s over, I’m going to make it to do list, schedule things out, put my headphones in and like, get this stuff done that I need to get done. Or if you’re in a situation that you’re feeling overwhelmed, like with like [00:25:00] COVID going on.
I know that I’ve been in like, Situations where I feel like there’s too many people around. And so I’m like, okay, I’m just going to leave. Like you just remove yourself from the situation, even if it’s just for a little bit for you to calm down and then you go back like, I think now there is, I was always like the outgoing person that was talking to everyone, but with the what’s happening in the world right now, there’s a lot of like social anxiety, even if like, you don’t struggle with that from before, I’ll like look around and I’ll be like, Whoa, I don’t know where that guy’s been.
Like, why is he so close to me? And so like, and I’ve never been the person to do that, but if you do start getting overwhelmed, Set back or kind of like take a look around and be like, what’s happening. I know where I am. I know who’s around. Like, everything’s fine. And then get back to life. No, it’s no, it’s so true.
I think I had that moment last night. I’m not gonna lie. and so I had a good cry. I was like, okay, college sucks, but we’re going to do this. But then putting it into perspective. It was like, [00:26:00] okay, like I’m grateful for where I am. And I’m grateful for the degree that I’m pursuing and the classes that I’m in and kind of just grounding yourself, both in gratitude.
And sometimes, yeah, it’s just prayer. And you know, I always have to throw that in there. That God knows that we’re always going to be struggling with something. And most often than not, it’s going to be overwhelmed. It’s just usually the most common human emotion anyway. So ask, ask it in prayer, just be like, can you take this away from me?
And if you can just help me to surrender to your will and to kind of just take this one day at a time and one moment at a time. and so, you know, the next moment might be different than the one before. Four. So kind of just focusing on where you are. and then sometimes you just have to power through it, honestly.
Yeah. Cause you have to be like, this is what’s happening. I don’t really have a choice. No, it’s so true. It’s like the whole COVID thing, like two weeks for shut down and then we’re like six months later. K, we got to just power through it. Just got to [00:27:00] get through it. yeah, so I think just grounding yourself in gratitude and prayer is always going to help.
And I know that yeah, it’s helped me before overwhelming situations. even more than just like petty little ones during the day. No, I want a hundred percent agree with that. The other day I was just on the phone crying with my mom and she was like, all right, you need to take a minute. Like read your devotions for the day.
Like you gotta fill out, like,
if it’s something that like you want to make time for. But like, I think a lot of people are like, well, I don’t have time to pray. I’m like, yeah. But why? Like, why don’t like, you can do it when you’re driving in a shower. Like it literally does not matter. Like, I know you have time for it. So if you want to do it, maybe yeah.
And there’s, there’s a little tangent, but there’s so many different ways that you can pray. It doesn’t always have to be like sitting there on your knees, like praying. You know what I mean? If you’re listening to you, as we call it, worship music, Jesus music. That’s a form of prayer in itself. It’s just like even [00:28:00] offering in the start of your day, like offer up whatever I’m doing today.
for your glory, it’s always going to help kind of center yourself. in whatever you’re doing. And even if you’re not consciously thinking about it, you’re offering yourself up as a player during the day. So there’s always time, no matter where or what you’re doing, there’s always time for parents.
Amazing. Okay. Next one. What do you have? let’s see. Masked me. How do you get rid of mass? Me? Oh Lord. Hi, we’re talking frack. Sickle mouse. Okay. So we both have worked with a company, a fabulous company so much. We shout them out. I shout them out all the time. It’s luminous skincare. I’ll natural. Vegan nontoxic products.
both of our discount codes will be down in the notes box below, no favorites or anything. We’re just, we’re just, yeah, but their acne serum is phenomenal. I cannot tell you how much their stuff has helped me with any maps needs that I have struggled [00:29:00] with during COVID. and it’s got teacher unit, which is super, super powerful for acne, and all of their products that are just amazing.
So that’s how I’ve done it personally. And just kind of like making sure I let my skin breathe every so often I’m cleansing it. I’ve really started to love myself over water. It’s like amazing. I can’t believe I haven’t used it before. Yeah. Yeah. I always use makeup wipes. And then from a brand, I got gifted my cellar water.
And so I was like, Oh, I’m going to use this now. Like I can’t stop using it. Yeah, no. And one of the other things I did get a gift from another brand. I think it was from fab fit fun. Like I got a box or something, the makeup eraser. Do you have one? I got that in a fact that if I’m boxed to, with that, it is so like, you know, first of all, earth friendly, there’s no waste.
and it does a better job of removing my makeup than anything else I’ve ever seen before. and it’s like, it’s super fun. It’s really soft. Hey, I love it. Okay. So yeah, so that was me. What else have you [00:30:00] done to help your mass knee? Yeah. I mean talking about luminance, which like, we’re not even working with them right now.
Just love that. Yes. I use the tree outset morning and that is like, I think it’s really good to find a consistent skincare routine because if you’re using a bunch of different products, your skin is kind of going to freak out and be like, what are you putting on me? So I’m just being consistent. And, well, I don’t know what it’s called, like less is more, is that?
Yeah. You don’t need to put 8,000 different things on your schedule. Is that just kind of load stuff up and then don’t absorb it like they’re supposed to. So, just having like an easy routine that you stick with when your makeup, because if you have your mask on your makeup all day and then you lay in bed and then you just let it sit there all night.
Yeah. That’s gross.
at night because it’s already kind of halfway in your pores and if you give it all night to sit there, [00:31:00] that’d be gross. And then your mask pain is going to be like 8,000 times. Wow. It was so bad. It’s so bad. They know? Yeah. Eliminates it has been a lifesaver for us. I think I started using them, I think back in like February, honestly, but.
it’s been an incredible, and I love them so much. And the rosewater toner is so good. Yes. So you pulled me about that because I would have like, it’s like heavenly. It’s so good. It’s so nice. Well, you mentioned that using their products. Oh, good. So yeah, again, our discount codes will be linked down below.
I believe it’s 15% off their products, which is a really good discount, which I love. So, yeah, that’s right. That’s awesome. So mass knee is a pain in the butt, but we will get through this together. I promise
So just to throw this funny one in there, I sent the question box out there and one of my friends responded with just life. I don’t have [00:32:00] advice for general life. I hope some of these tips will help you. I know I’m getting like type management. Jamie’s good in fashion and all this stuff, but I can’t help you in general life topics.
Right?
I mean, this is what I do, but I don’t really know if it works. Yeah. I know. What, what was that like? What’s that joke where it’s like, if you could give advice, but at the end, say, I don’t know. And then that way you don’t take responsibility for whatever their decisions are. Yeah.
Sorry, if that doesn’t work for you, it’s been
exactly. okay. So I think I went through all the ones that I have. Are there any other ones that you wanted to add? last one that I have is ways to stay positive in school. Ending on a little happy note. Ooh. Yes. I love that one. Okay. What do you have, I’ll start with you first. I think honestly, so like I’ve been talking to my friends lately and.
[00:33:00] Being in college is hard and you live there full time, which I think like you love the school always, but I do think things that you’ll be like, Oh my gosh, the food here is gross or, Oh, the bathrooms are so dirty and stuff like that. And I think reminding yourself that you need to surround yourself with good people, especially in uncertain times is really important.
so like if you have a horrible class, maybe after like take time for yourself to hang out with people you that make you happy, or even just doing things that make you happy, like if you’re in college, you don’t have to be like, wake up, do things related to school all day until you go to bed. Like the point it’s about the experience too, obviously.
Yeah. Don’t just like not go to class or do homework. Yes. Balance. So true. And I think the longer that I’ve been in college, the more I realized, like it’s not high school, you’re not supposed to sit in school and to school, I, you know, eight to three every single day. But like, you know, if I get a phone call from a friend, like [00:34:00] you said, at one o’clock, I’m going to go to lunch with them.
I’m not going to skip class, but I’m just going to make sure my schedule fits because this is what life’s going to be like after we graduate alleyway. Yeah. you know, even if you have a job, there’s still gonna be flexibility in there anyway. Right. And so, like you said, finding those experiences of things that are going to make you happy, maybe it’s self care or going to the gym, or, you know, going out to breakfast with a friend, just finding those experiences that are gonna make you happy and things that you already love.
they kind of just translate into college anyway. you know, content creation, if that’s for you start it, everybody loves college content creators. And I’m not saying that because then so I’m saying yes, because I have genuinely seen people see what we do during our day. and so start documenting it to you if that’s what makes you happy, just find those things that are going to kind of give you a little smile.
And boosting serotonin.
so yeah. Anything else that you wanted to add? before we wrap up at [00:35:00] all? I think that’s it. I know this is jam packed with advice, honestly, but again, if it doesn’t work for you, don’t do it. Don’t hold us responsible for anything. From my life experience in the short 19, almost 20 years. And we’ve been on the stairs.
this is what we’ve learned so far. so again, thank you so much for coming back on this show. I’m so happy. It’s so fun. It’s always so fun. It’s such a blast and yeah, like we’ve said, I stayed in touch for so long. so you never know who you’re going to meet online if this is your jam. again, Jamie socials will be down in the show notes as always check out luminance skincare, not a promo, not sponsored, just genuinely loved them.
and then anything else that we’ve mentioned will also be down there? I forget. This will be post at it. This will all be down there. Don’t worry. but again, yeah, I hope we’ll have you back on the show again, sometime soon. Maybe we’ll do a midyear catch up or something. so yeah, so again, thanks so much and we will see you [00:36:00] guys back next time.
Bye. Hi.
