0:20
Hello you guys what’s up Welcome back to another episode of Hear and now podcast Another week, another episode, we’re back at it, we’re ready to go this week. I’m super excited for this week’s episode, because it’s a QA. These are my favorite kinds of

0:33
episodes,

0:34
and I’m super excited to be doing them.

0:37
I asked you guys over on

0:39
my Instagram stories, a couple days ago, to ask me some questions for q&a so here we are, I’m ready to answer them.

0:45
I’ve got a lot of good questions today.

0:46
But before we jump into the episode I want to tell you two things. The first thing is I want you guys to enter my giveaway,

0:54
too.

0:56
win a free custom shampoo and conditioner from formulate. You guys can go to the link formulate dot co slash g slash Sophia Lebano slash, enter. that link will also be in the show notes, so you guys don’t have to remember that, that whole thing. But the second thing I was going to say is the secret project that I’ve been working on with my friend Baylee is now

1:23
open,

1:24
and revealed to the public. We started a ministry group

1:27
called Psalm 139 14,

1:29
and you guys can join the Facebook group by going to facebook.com slash groups, slash, Psalm 139 14 ministries – join our group. It’s a super supportive environment.

1:41
You got

1:42
an Instagram. We’ve got a YouTube, we’ve got our Facebook group. The whole shebang. So make sure you guys do those two things for me,

1:50
the links to those will be in the show notes as well.

1:53
But without further ado,

1:55
let’s jump into the episode, so I can answer all the questions you guys have for me today. So, question number one is, what is your biggest motivator. This is a wonderful question, and

2:24
I’m going to have to think about that answer, if I’m being honest,

2:27
but I think the biggest motivating

2:29
factor for me is number 1am i doing it for the glory of God. And number two, is it life giving, if you guys remember I did an episode about life giving a couple of months ago, and I will leave a link to

2:47
that episode in the show notes but

2:51
if I’m doing something that is life giving, to me, that’s worth it. 1000 times over, especially if it’s something that I can give glory to God in and that’s not always at the forefront of my mind when I’m doing things, if I’m being honest but I’m working on it.

3:12
That is definitely my biggest motivator is am I,

3:15
fulfilling my calling

3:17
in life, am I fulfilling my vocation. So that is a really great question, definitely had to make me think on that one for sure.

3:31
Question and number two is How do you stay positive when life is you negativity. Hoo boy. These questions are just coming in hot today. Um, that’s also a really, really great question. Um, I think just finding things that I am grateful for.

3:51
In

3:52
the midst of negativity, and I have an episode on gratitude as well from back in November, right around Thanksgiving.

4:00
But

4:06
I think just finding things that you’re grateful for and things that make you smile and doing things that you’re

4:13
uplifted

4:14
by if that makes sense and encouraged by

4:19
makes all the difference.

4:23
I think, you know, in the midst of quarantine.

4:26
A couple of months ago, I think we were all feeling that like, you know, that air of uncertainty, and perhaps negativity and for me it

4:36
was finding things that I like to do,

4:40
and just kind of doing those

4:43
not really to distract myself, but to kind of take the focus away

4:48
from

4:50
what seemed like it was waiting on me. So I hope that makes sense. That’s just kind of what I do.

4:56
Um, there’s no like

4:59
one certain way for you to,

5:05
kind of, you know,

5:06
stay positive, and it’s doing what works for you at least for me, it’s finding things that I’m grateful for.

5:15
In the midst of

5:16
something that might seem particularly negative. Number three is, what is your favorite personal development book. That’s a wonderful question. I’m always on the lookout for personal development books. If you guys have recommendations, head over to

5:39
my Instagram post

5:41
on my latest post and comment your favorite books,

5:44
specifically for personal development. My favorite

5:51
book, and for personal development is your badass by Jen sincero. I think I’ve talked about it before, but it’s just like super empowering and just kind of gets that fire going you know, within you. It’s really good I’m reading her second book right now which is, um, you’re a badass at making money. And then I have another one. You’re a badass every day. Forgive my language, but those are the titles. So yeah, those books are really really good. Like I get, like I said, it’s very empowering and very motivating.

6:29
So I

6:30
highly recommend those.

6:34
I’m trying to think of other ones I’ve read in the past. The four year career.

6:45
Yeah, just like those kinds of things. Um,

6:50
I’m kind of new into the personal development space if I’m being honest, um, in terms of books at least, whether that’s the one I’m reading right now and that’s definitely my favorite. So yeah, definitely recommend that they’re your badass series by Jen sincero,

7:07
they’re very good.

7:11
This next question is

7:13
kind of a difficult one to answer, but I think this is a really good question is how do you handle conflict when you go out of your way to avoid it. That is a wonderful question.

8:13
I think it kind of just depends on what kind of conflict, it is, and figuring out. Like, I’m kind of trying to find the right is, is it a major conflict, and you’re going out of your way to avoid it is kind

8:32
of trying to figure out what your

8:34
motive behind, avoiding it is.

8:37
If it’s something. Let’s say with a relationship. Why are you going out of your way to avoid it. Is it something that you can just handle. And once you handle you kind of just

8:47
resolve it and you never have to think about it again.

8:51
Or

8:51
is it something super super minor.

8:54
And

8:56
you’re like, why am I, I’m acting this way, you know.

9:00
So I guess it’s just getting to the root of the problem,

9:02
and going from there.

9:06
Especially for me, avoid it

9:08
is. You have to find out

9:12
your inner reasoning for waiting at first, and then getting to the root of the problem,

9:19
as well as

9:26
talking it out with somebody you trust that has always been a huge impact on my life is talking it out with somebody that I trust.

9:37
Because I I respect

9:40
their opinion, and especially if it has to do with something that’s personal writing it down

9:47
and praying about it are probably the two things that

9:50
I do the most.

9:53
But again, it takes a little bit of reflection for yourself.

9:56
Why are you avoiding the conflict in the first place. And how can I go from here. So I

10:02
hope that kind of answers the question.

10:05
That’s a really good one, if I’m being honest.

10:10
The next question that that is here is how do you stay motivated and when you’re stressed or anxious I’m struggling with this right now.

10:25
Great question. Um,

10:28
this is something that a lot of us probably need right now is how do I say stress or how do I how do you say stress. How do you stay motivated when you’re stressed or anxious. Well, if you can kind of figure out what you’re stressed or anxious about, and like I said about the conflict one is getting to the root of the problem and figuring out why you’re stressed or anxious might help resolve and kind of give you that motivation. Um, I know for me when I’m feeling particularly stressed, it’s, I’m the type of person that wants to just keep powering through and doing something anyway, even if I’m overly tired and stressed and anxious I just kind of want to get it done. But I know that that’s not a healthy way to do it at all, is that you need to step back and take a break and kind of just reevaluate where you are, especially now with like the weather being nicer, at least in hips here.

11:32
During the summer is,

11:34
you know, if you’re working at your computer and you’re

11:36
like, I don’t have any content to post today, and I’m super stressed about putting something out just step back, take a break, go for a walk, do some exercise or something kind of just get your mind off of it, or. Another option is if you’re stressed or anxious about something that’s not work related. I personally always go to my work, or do something that I enjoy, because I feel like it makes me so much more motivated when I cross things off my to do list,

12:04
but

12:05
it only has to be something that you enjoy.

12:09
Like I said, I do work when I, you don’t need to turn off other things, and I go do things that I enjoy. you know sitting outside reading a book watching YouTube videos or watching TV, etc. Again, that’s probably not the healthiest way to do it but that’s what works for me.

12:27
But this kind of goes along with another

12:29
question is what do you do to keep motivated, more so for social media. And if you guys are unfamiliar, I do work in social

12:38
media.

12:38
That is my job.

12:40
Not only do I have podcasts and blog and,

12:43
you know, Instagram and stuff.

12:45
I also help other people do social media

12:48
and help them build their presence online. So for me, if my entire day is surrounded by social media. And I needing to, you know, keep motivated to keep posting things. The one thing that I will say is it’s okay to step back, if you’re not motivated by what you’re doing at all. And I talked about this a couple weeks ago when I took a break from podcasting, because I needed that creative break. I needed time to recharge. And to kind of get inspired again to do things. So it’s okay if you take a break, honestly like if people are looking up to you for advice, that’s the number one thing that you can give them is telling them it’s okay and you’re human too.

13:39
But for more of a

13:40
practical standpoint.

13:42
If I need to be motivated. I’ll do something that makes me motivated, you know, working out, or doing work, or just kind of going on Pinterest and getting ideas for content. I get my greatest content ideas in a spur of a moment kind of thing. I can plan, all the live long day. No matter what, I still won’t follow my own schedule. And it’s worked pretty well for me so far. But, I get motivated by outside things I get inspired by things very very randomly. So that’s kind of where my content is like, I wouldn’t say all over the place but it just kind of seems like it’s spur of the moment, at least from my perspective, it is but, um. So, in conclusion, what I do to stay motivated is step back if I need to step back and doing things that make me inspired. Even if you don’t think actively that they’ll inspire like, why does drawling gonna have to do with me, posting something on social media.

14:53
You never know what’s gonna come out of things like that.

14:57
So do things that are life giving to you. Things that are inspiring to you as well. So,

15:06
moving on to the next question I’ve lost

15:08
track of what number I am on, but that’s okay. Um,

15:12
the question is what are your current favorites.

15:16
Great question. I just posted an Instagram post the other day I think was Friday. On my current favorite skincare products, all featuring women in skincare you guys know I’m a huge fan of them.

15:33
This episode is not sponsored by them. But

15:37
I’m a huge fan huge supporter of them.

15:39
And if you guys want to try out their stuff, you can use the code non toxic for a free sample kit, or if you want to go all in and get your products you guys can use the code Sophia Lebano for 15% off your luminance order. You guys can go check out the link to Instagram post in the show notes or just head to my Instagram post.

16:00
So yeah, they’re definitely my current favorites.

16:03
What else.

16:04
Oh, I just bought a flamingo razor, that thing

16:07
actually works pretty well. Um, I don’t have a code or anything but I think that’s pretty cool.

16:13
It works really good got a very close shave.

16:17
So that’s that one.

16:20
I don’t think there’s anything else that I’m currently loving right now.

16:26
But yeah. Oh,

16:28
I did just go back to target for the first time and their new collection of clothes like I just got basic stuff like it’s super comfy as always we own all no targets to the greatest place on Earth. So yeah, that’s that those are kind of just my basic current favorites right now. But every month or so I update them. So make sure you Be on the lookout for that coming up in the next couple of weeks or so, for my July favorites. But the next question is a very very easy question to answer is when is your birthday. And my birthday is December 21. I will be

17:02
20 years old at the end of this

17:04
year, which is crazy and scary.

17:07
It I’m not ready for it,

17:09
but new decade of life will be super fun. So yeah My birthday is December 21

17:14
superduper close to Christmas.

17:17
So yeah.

17:19
And the last

17:21
question that I have on here, because I’m getting close to 20 minutes this time is, what is your best organization tip. You guys know I could talk for hours about organization. So, instead of just giving you one. I am going to give you a couple tips. The first tip is block scheduling, I’ve talked about this so many times, I will leave a link to my Instagram TV video and my freebie talking about block scheduling.

17:53
The video kind of explains everything

17:54
with a more visual aspects that I can do on a podcast. So that’s number one. Number two is having a to do list. I cannot function without having a to do list of them being honest. I have started doing them in my phone, so that I don’t have to use paper. And I just use a little Notes app that’s built in with an iPhone to kind of create a little to do list and I updated every day. That has saved my life. In the last couple of days. With all the things that I have going on. So that’s tip number two. Tip number three is to utilize your calendar. I love using Google calendar is so efficient because it connects to my computer my phone my iPad on the go, and I can color code and just kind of connect it with business meetings and things that I have to do, podcasts all that stuff. Super easy, super efficient. See yeah and then I’m trying to think I have anything else. Off the top of my head. Um,

19:02
but those are the three biggest tips that I have for now.

19:05
I will leave a link

19:07
below to my other organizational podcast episodes and stuff that I’ve done before. So yeah, those, those are the three big ones is block scheduling, using a to do list, and using your calendar.

19:20
So

19:23
that is it for this week’s episode, I made it to 20 minutes this week, which is cool. So yeah. Awesome. Okay, thank you guys so much for submitting all those questions to me. You guys know I love doing.

19:39
Q and A’s,

19:41
a lot I tried and spaced them out so that I don’t do them like every week. I don’t think I have done one since, like, April, so I was like I’m due for one this week, and I love the questions that you guys asked me I thought they were super vulnerable and super honest and just kind of like I need advice. So,

20:00
yes, those are those

20:02
again thank you guys for listening to this week’s episode. Don’t forget to enter my giveaway with formulate. And don’t forget to join my facebook group, both of those links will be in the show notes below the formulate giveaway closes on July 31 July 31, and the group is open indefinitely. So, yes, awesome.
