Q&A #2

by | Apr 21, 2020 | Podcast

Hey guys, what’s up and welcome back to another episode of Hear and Now podcast!

This week’s episode is going to be another Q&A because why not? So let’s just jump right in!

Okay, so question #1:

These are from my very wonderful and funny friend Megan who is also the coadmin for our facebook group, women in instagram marketing, so if you want to join us and learn how to make money from instagram, come join us!— but anyway Megan asked Do you like being a rebel? Okay thanks Megan. I am not a rebel by any stretch of the imagination. Sometimes I do like stretching my limits a little bit and I like to test the waters, but I’m not really a rebel. I think the most rebellious thing I’ve done lately is eat another biscuit when my mom told me not to. But other than that, the only way I’m “rebellious” is not really following the traditional route of anything, but thank you for asking that Megan…

Question #2 – do you think you’ll marry noah. Again, Megan asked this question. First, its a joke, and if you have been keeping up with my instagram stories I put up a quiz the other day and one of the questions was who is my celebrity crush… of all the people who played, about 40% of the people got it correct.. I said in my blog post from March 13 all the correct answers from the quiz, but why not tell you now…

  1. How old am I? The correct answer is I’m 19, born in 2000…
  2. What instrument do I play? The correct answer for that, and most people got it right, is piano. I’ve been playing since like 2007 or something!
  3. Where am I from? Pretty much everyone got this correct, I am from Philadelphia Pennsylvania, or actually just outside of it, but its more recognizable
  4. What is the name of my podcast? The correct answer is obviously Hear and Now Podcast…
  5. Who is my celebrity crush? The correct answer to that is noah centineo, which is what megan’s original question was, its a running joke in my family as well.
  6. What is my major? There are two right answers – I’m currently a double major in theology and philosophy!
  7. My favorite TV show is friends, I said this in my very first episode of this show… My brother, my dad, and I are currently watching Cheers on Netflix, like the old 80’s/90’s show, and its really funny. The last show we watched was the Office.
  8. True or false, I am writing a book. The answer is true, I am currently writing my first novel!
  9. And finally, the last question is who is my favorite youtuber, the correct answer is Danielle Carolan! Her videos are so inspiring and motivating and I love her content… v

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to share the real answers so there you go…

Okay, back to the Q&A.

Question #3- Another funny one from my loving sister – Do you think your sister Isabelle is cool? yes, as a matter of fact I do. Youre very cool, especially because you love why don’t we…

Question #4 – how do you stay on top of your goals? Great question. I talked about this a lot in a few episodes, most specifically, episodes #28, #22, and #11! Another resource that I have is my igtv on block scheduling, which will be linked below. But my biggest tip in goal setting is to write it down. If I see it on my to do list or somewhere visible, it drives me nuts that something isn’t done and isn’t crossed off my list, and it just motivates me to do it. Like school work, I hate when I have an overload of reading to do and so badly just want to push it off, but then I remember that my time each day is limited because I want to fit so many things in, that I almost can’t push it off until later. I make sure I schedule in things that I need to do during each of my blocks, kind of like an appointment, so I can’t avoid doing it. Do what works for you, but this what I’ve seen work for me the best. The way to do something is just to start! I love blasting some good tunes and just starting! Constant reminders also work well for me 😉

Question #5 – What is your best childhood memory? Aw, I love this question. I definitely think anything that has to do with my family. My family are like my best friends, and so we love doing things together. We love to take spontaneous trips and do fun things. Even though I’m technically an adult, I think when I look back in a few years, all the memories we have made during this quarantine will be ones for the books. Right now we love having kitchen dance parties and playing games and binge watching tv together. These are definitely my favorite times and I am loving making the best out of it… but, even “pre-pandemic” we still did all these things together. but, I just remembered. My parents, my brother, and I would have these things called Thursday night talks, where we stay up ridiculously late on Thursday nights just talking and laughing about random things. Those were definitely some of my favorite things… but now that my sisters are older, we actually do this every night and laugh until our sides hurt. ah, the glory days.

Question #6 – this question… do you ever take your implants off because someone is so annoying?… oh my gosh yes. Not so much anymore, but I will joke with people about it and take them off just to be funny. But if someone is being annoying ill actually just turn up my music (in my head) louder but I used to take out my hearing aids too. Great question lol.

Question #7 – what superpower do you wish you had?

Ooh I don’t know. I always hate this question because I can never decide. But if I absolutely had to choose it would probably be teleportation or super speed. Just so I can be in different places really fast. Like if I’m really hungry, I can run really fast to get food…

Question #8 – Any advice for girls out there that want to start a podcast or blog?

Oh great question! Just go for it! I’m actually planning on making a whole episode about this, but here are a few things you can do in the meantime. First, if you go to sophialebano.com/shop , there is a resource that I created called a podcast direction course. It’s $15 but its a workbook that will give you all the information you need on starting a podcast. secondly, I have a video on my IGTV called Millennial Marketer’s takeover recap, and in there I talked about the basics of what you need to know about podcasting. And finally, if you go to my website again, theres a tab that says work with me. You can reach out to me so I can help you get started. But in the meantime, my piece of advice is find your why, what, and who. Why do you want to start a podcast or blog? For me, my why is sharing my story and my experience in life so that you can know that you aren’t alone. We are from all walks in life, and if I can share a piece of my story, and it inspires someone, then this is all worth it. My what is faith hearing loss and lifestyle. And who, find who you are writing for. For me, on my blog, my tagline is encouraging you to lead the life God has for you. So I am talking to people who need encouragement in life. But definitely identify your why, what and who. It’ll give you a clear vision on your whole purpose for doing this! But go girls! theres a whole world out there waiting to hear your voice.

Question #9 – I figured I’d make this episode a little longer… Where do you want to live when you are older?

Great question! My siblings and I were just talking about this the other day. I don’t think I’ll ever move out of where I am right now. I’ve spent pretty much my entire life here and I love so much about it. If anything, ill probably move a little out of the area, like 20 mins away in another town, but I can never see myself moving out of Pennsylvania!

Question #10 – What is your favorite book right now?

So, I recently finished You are a Badass by Jen Sincero, and it was such a great book. It definitely got me motivated to get after my dreams again. I’m not currently reading anything just for fun! I’m kinda re-reading the devil wears prada, but with school right now I already have a lot of reading to do… but once school is over, I definitely want to read Jen Sincero’s other books. But if you guys have book recommendations let me know! I’d love to know what you are reading right now!

Question #11 – What’s the first thing you can’t wait to do when we get out of quarantine?

Ooh! I have no idea. I have so many things I want to do, to be honest. But depending on when it is, I have a few things – I would love to get ice cream. I have been dying for ice cream and literally nothing is open – and I don’t mean like cartons from the supermarket, but like real ice cream. Another thing, depending on the weather, will be jumping in a pool. I can’t wait to do that.. hugging my friends and family I haven’t seen in so long. Going to church again! So many things! What about you? Comment on my latest post to let me know!

Question #12 – Do you see how far you’ve come?

Aw that’s so sweet. I’d like to think I’ve come pretty far! We just celebrated 2500 listens on the show which is incredible and I couldn’t have done it without you guys! And my favorite saying right now is onwards and upwards – so let’s go! I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us.

Alright! That’s going to be it for today! Thank you to all who asked me questions! Q&A’s are my favorite thing to listen to and watch and do! See you guys next week on hear and now podcast! Bye guys..

It’s the 36th episode of Hear and Now Podcast! Thank you for joining me this week as I do another Q&A!
