My 2020 Word of the Year

New.

That’s my word for the new year and new decade.

You might be thinking, that’s a strange word to use. You’re right, but that’s just my personality.

Christ makes all things new in His name.

I’ve decided that instead of reflecting back on this decade and looking for all the times that I failed, I am choosing to be made new through each of these experiences.

I trust wholeheartedly that the Lord is making all things new.

I love a new year. Being an Enneagram type 3 (I encourage you to take your test here), I am so motivated by the opportunity to be productive (sometimes to a fault).

I am welcoming this new year with open arms. I am reminding myself daily that good is coming. 2020 is going to be the best year of my life, even if I fall and stumble a thousand and one times. God’s got me.

God’s infinite love and mercy are pouring upon me and making me new again.

I am so excited for you all to see what I’m bringing to the table in 2020. This is going to be the best year ever. I’m making it happen.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Cor 5:17

What is your word for 2020?
